F-150 Heritage Edition Style and Exterior Features

If you were born in the 1970s or 1980s or grew up watching movies from those years, you're probably familiar with the retro F-150 truck appearance from back then. The 2023 F-150 Heritage Edition is a modern interpretation of the well-known two-tone exterior paint schemes and vintage design of the F-150 popularized over the 1970s and 1980s. It combines this rare, classic look with present-day Ford trucks' excellent durability, capability, and technology.

The 2023 Ford F-150 Heritage Edition, which is based on the Ford F-150 XLT, will have an external paint scheme of A-B-A, using the A color option on the roof, door pillars, bumpers, lower door panels, and lower body panels, while the B color dominates the middle. The various Ford F-150 Heritage Edition color options are shown below.

  • Carbonized Gray on top and below, with Race Red in the middle.
  • Carbonized Gray on top and below, with Antimatter Blue middle.
  • Agate Black on top and below, with Atlas Blue in the middle.
  • Agate Black on top and below, with Avalanche in the middle.
  • Agate Black on top and below, with Area 51 Blue in the middle.

Between these different styles, the F-150 Heritage is sure to take many Dallas, Texas, drivers back to a simpler time. Feel free to bookmark and browse our new Ford F-150 truck inventory so you don't miss any new Heritage arrivals or other appealing trim levels.

Interior and Technology

The distinctiveness of the Heritage design is further enhanced by exceptional covers for the leather seats with contrasting inserts and embossing on the console lid. Black and slate gray interior features go well with bold exterior color choices. The center screen launch animation, the center console, and the upper center windscreen all feature a white "75 Years" emblem.

Since the Heritage is built on the XLT, it comes with the Ford Co-Pilot360 2.0 driver assistance suite, including automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic lane-keep assist. It also has an 8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Additionally, you can take things up a notch with amenities like the FordPass Connect 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, SYNC 4, 360-degree camera package, and many other options. When you have cross-traffic alert and other thorough assistance features by your side, even inexperienced drivers can pilot their F-150 with total confidence.

Engine

As a visual package applied to the XLT, the Heritage has the same three engine choices as those found on that trim level. To start is a flex-fuel-capable 3.3-liter V-6 engine with 290 horsepower, 265 lb-ft of torque, and a 10-speed automatic transmission. That shifter also appears on the other two choices, as does automatic start/stop. Next is a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine with 325 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. Last and certainly not least, a 5.0-liter V-8 produces 400 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. Four-wheel drive is an option, and rear-wheel drive is standard.

Pricing

It's outstanding that Ford is using the XLT as the foundation for the Heritage Edition, as it's one of the most affordable F-150 models while still carrying plenty of above-standard features. The special Heritage Edition paint scheme is priced at $1,975, with some variation based on cab and bed style. Before options, the 2023 Ford F-150 XLT trim starts at $41,800, so we can likely expect a starting price for the Heritage around $43,775. Keep in mind that these numbers don't include destination fees or other costs.

Overall, the F-150's new Heritage Package is accessibly priced for many drivers. The King Ranch model and the Lariat trim have starting costs of $63,005 and $57,480, respectively, and other trims go higher. Considering the overall pricing structure of the 2023 F-150, the Heritage is an excellent option if you're after an extra-stylish F-150 below the $50K mark.
