The base Big Bend trim is a well-equipped vehicle with looks and utility. It sets the tone for higher trims by including useful multi-terrain features, such as a terrain management system with six drive modes, 17-inch alloy wheels with all-terrain tires, and front and rear tow hooks. This trim significantly enhances the 2024 Bronco's off-road performance. It includes rock rails that prevent the vehicle's body from taking damage in difficult off-road situations. It also has improved front and rear bumpers, heavy-duty bash plates, and prewired auxiliary switches. The interior is more resistant to mud and dust with rubber flooring and vinyl upholstery.
The Outer Banks trim is a more stylish version of the Big Bend trim. It improves its exterior by adding 18-inch aluminum wheels, all-terrain tires, body-color door handles, mirrors, and fender flares. This trim builds on previous ones mainly by enhancing the Bronco's looks and performance. Some of its exterior features include unique bumpers and fenders, a white-painted grille, top and wheels, and LED fog lights, among others. On the interior, the plaid cloth upholstery gives out a classic vibe and is resistant to wear and tear.
This trim upgrades the Outer Banks trim. It adds 17-inch wheels, 35-inch tires especially suited for muddy terrains, and a lifted suspension, making it even more off-road capable. It also features an upgraded terrain management system with seven modes.
This trim is based on the Black Diamond trim and includes additional style, utility features, and specs. It adds some of its own, such as special exterior front and rear fenders, upgraded LED headlights, and an air snorkel. It also has a larger 12-inch touch-screen interface.
This trim adds unique exterior elements and a more powerful engine. It allows you to shake up the Bronco's exterior with features that include special fenders and bumpers, a white grille and hardtop, skid plates, and step rails, and a smart-looking plaid cloth upholstery. It also upgrades the engine to a turbocharged 2.7-liter V-6.
The top Raptor trim is based on the Badlands trim but is better looking and more capable off-road. It features a more powerful engine than other trims, 37-inch all-terrain tires, special shock absorbers, and a heavy-duty rear axle, making it an off-roading beast. It also has a unique look thanks to interior and exterior styling elements.
The 2024 Ford Bronco is an imposing vehicle, with a length of 189.4 inches and a width of 86.2 inches, including the mirrors. Its 11.5-inch ground clearance and 116.1-inch wheelbase enhance its off-road capability. Its size allows for a cargo capacity of 38.3 feet behind the second row of seats and 83 cubic feet with the bottom seats folded down.
The 2024 Ford Bronco delivers excellent performance on smooth surfaces and off-road terrains. Its base engine is a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with a maximum power output of 300 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque, which is more than enough for most drivers, whether cruising in Dallas or heading off-road. With this engine, the Bronco can go from zero to 60 mph in 7.74 seconds, a good time for such a large vehicle.
The second engine choice is a turbocharged 2.7-liter V-6 that can generate up to 330 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. It pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The additional torque improves off-road performance, while the extra horsepower improves the zero-to-60 time to 7.1 seconds. The top engine choice is a turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 with 418 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain can propel the Bronco to 60 mph from a standstill in an astonishing 6.2 seconds.
The 2024 Ford Bronco's fuel efficiency ratings greatly depend on which powertrain you choose. The basic 2.3-liter engine offers 19 mpg in city traffic and 21 mpg on the highway for a combined fuel efficiency of 20 mpg. The ratings stay pretty much the same with the upgraded 2.7-liter engine. The top-of-the-line 3.0-liter engine gets 15 city mpg and 16 highway mpg, which is understandable considering its enormous power and torque.
