Even though Dallas is a landlocked city, it has a great sushi scene. You can find sushi rolls in all parts of the city, with hotspots offering everything from casual grab-and-go to upscale dining restaurants with the highest quality ingredients. You can always find a new place in Dallas when you’re looking for a new sushi place and are on the hunt for new and innovative tastes. Look at the best sushi rolls in all of Dallas, Texas.

Mr. Sushi

Mr. Sushi is a popular sushi restaurant in Dallas. It offers traditional Japanese dishes in a welcoming and homey atmosphere. The menu features various sushi rolls, such as the tuna roll, salmon roll, shrimp and asparagus roll, and the eel tempura roll. Everything is made to order, and the fish is always fresh.

House specialties are always a good choice. You can get the California roll with crab, cucumber, avocado, and mayo or the Hole in One. This sushi roll comes with crab meat, avocado, tuna, cucumber, mayo, and smelt eggs. The Caterpillar roll is another good option on the menu. It has eel, avocado, and eel sauce. The Rainbow roll is perfect for you if you like a roll with various fish. It has tuna, yellow tail, shrimp, salmon, and crabmeat all in one roll, along with avocado and cucumber.

Zen Sushi

Zen Sushi has been serving sushi in the Dallas area since 2007. This restaurant has a reputation for its fresh, premium seafood and Japanese American cuisine. The chef-driven, female-owned restaurant has dishes created by Tokyo-born, American-raised Chef Michelle Carpenter. The chef and her team make everything to order, and it’s all served in a welcoming, casual setting.

Zen Sushi has wonderful sushi rolls, with many different rolls on the menu to choose from. The list of Zen Sushi specialties and original creations includes the following:

  • Tiger roll with salmon, cucumber, and avocado with a shrimp wrap.
  • Zen roll with cucumber wrap, tuna, and super white.
  • Chipotle roll with super white tempura and cream cheese.
  • Caterpillar roll with eel, avo wrap, and cucumber.
  • Xalapa roll with tuna, lime, avocado, jalapeño, and cilantro.

Zen Sushi also has a variety of classic Maki rolls to choose from. These include:

  • California is special with snow crab legs, avocado, and cucumber.
  • Philly roll with fresh salmon, cucumber, and cream cheese.
  • Cajun roll with fried crawfish, cucumber, and avocado.
  • Alaskan roll with smoked salmon, avocado, and cream cheese.

Poke Sushi Roll

The spicy tuna roll is always a good choice. It comes with spicy tuna and cucumber. The Alaska roll is another popular menu item. This sushi roll has crab mix, cucumber, avocado, salmon, and ponzu sauce. The rainbow roll is delicious and looks amazing with its colorful presentation of crab mix, avocado, cucumber, tuna, salmon, whitefish, shrimp, and ponzu sauce.

If you like your sushi to have a kick, try the New York roll. It has spicy tuna, cucumber, crab mix, mayo, eel sauce, and sriracha. Or, if you like to minimize the number of carbs you eat, Poke Sushi Roll offers no-rice rolls. These include the Ninja roll with spicy tuna, cucumber, crab mix, ponzu, and sriracha wrapped in dried seaweed or the Butterfly Kiss roll with crab mix wrapped in fresh salmon with ponzu and sriracha. The French Kiss roll is another option with tuna, salmon, crab mix, ponzu, and cucumber wrapped in soybean paper.

Hibiki Sushi

Hibiki Sushi in Deep Ellum is the work of Chefs JP Kim and Franky Shin. Hibiki Sushi opened in 2018, offering sushi lovers the perfect place to grab lunch or dinner any day of the week. While the menu covers a wide range of Japanese dishes, from tempura to udon noodles and teriyaki, this place is known for its list of specialty rolls. There are so many; you can try a new roll every day for weeks and still not run out of options.

The list of sushi rolls includes the classic California roll, tuna roll, and salmon roll. You can also get a Salmon Skin roll, Philadelphia roll, and spicy crab roll. Hibiki Sushi also has several specialty rolls. The Ahi Tower is not only large, but it’s also delicious. It comes with layers of spicy tuna, crab, avocado, rice, radish sprouts, caviar, and spicy mayo. It’s all topped with eel sauce and wasabi sauce. The Alaska roll has crab, cucumber, and avocado topped with salmon, and the Alligator roll has crab, avocado, and cucumber topped with deep-fried eel and eel sauce.

The Arizona roll is another good choice. This roll has yellowtail, avocado, cucumber, and green onion. It’s topped with yellowtail, jalapeño, and citrus sauce. The Ashley special has no rice. It’s just salmon, avocado, crab, and cilantro. It comes with a mango sauce and brown sauce.

The Blue Fish

The Blue Fish Japanese Restaurant serves fresh, premium sushi and sashimi. This family of restaurants has been creating award-winning sushi for over 20 years. You’ll find them in Dallas at the Galleria Dallas.

When you head to The Blue Fish, try one of their signature rolls. The New Blue Fish roll has tuna, snow crab, salmon, masago, yellowtail, and avocado wrapped in cucumber, and the Samurai roll has yellowtail, fresh jalapeño, avocado, and seared albacore tuna. It’s served with ponzu and creamy wasabi.
