As technology continues to rapidly transform the auto tech industry, there are numerous opportunities for specialization and career growth. Now in its second year, the Ford Auto Tech Scholarship will create opportunities for high-paying and sustainable careers within the auto industry, without the need for a four-year college degree.

The Urgent Demand for Skilled Technicians in the Auto Industry Continues: 406,000 Auto Tech Positions Needed by 2027.

With so much potential for innovation and progress, now is the time to explore a dynamic career in the auto industry.

On March 4 at 6:00 a.m. ET, Ford Fund, the company’s philanthropic arm, and Ford Dealers across ten U.S. regions – Atlanta, Chicago, Cincinnati, Dallas, Detroit, Kansas City, Memphis, Miami, Phoenix, and Seattle –  announced $2,000,000 in scholarship funding to address the urgent need for automotive technicians across the industry. Funding will be facilitated by TechForce, a national nonprofit supporting students throughout their education and placement into careers as professional technicians.

The Ford Auto Tech Scholarship supports students in pursuing a technical education in the auto industry while addressing the shortage of skilled technicians. By partnering with Ford Dealers, we are creating opportunities to attract and retain the next generation of auto technicians.

The scholarship is applied to a student's school tuition account and may be used for all cost of attendance, including tuition, tools, living expenses and transportation, removing significant financial barriers for students. Applications are open now through August 31, 2024. Apply here: https://techforce.org/FordFund/
