The Light Up To Live Foundation, founded by Reed, is a Dallas-based 501-c3 charity that supports veteran health with a more holistic approach. It pays for highly trained service dogs from the Patriotic Service Dog Foundation and Patriot Paws to assist veterans adapting to a return to civilian life who need task assistance and or a social buffer. The charity also donates portable polychromatic light therapy systems used to reduce pain and increase blood flow to injured joints and tissues. It works with graduates of the Adaptive Training Foundation to supply light systems to graduates.

This year, Light Up To Live, will partner with Dallas area V.E.T.S. founded by retired Navy Seal Marcus Capone and his wife Amber who support ground-breaking use of psychedelic medications, like Ketamine, in the treatment of depression and suicide fixation in military veterans. This is particulary useful in those who have not had success with traditional anti-depressants.
