It's been over 75 years since Rodgers & Hammerstein's American musical Oklahoma! was reinvented. Now, it's been reimagined again, but this time for the 21st century. The cheery romance between a cowpoke and farmer is replaced with a stripped-down version that reveals its deeper and darker core truths. Look at Oklahoma! in a new way while exploring the psychological turmoil of a community shunning an outsider and how that frontier lifestyle affected a growing America. This show maybe isn't for musical purists who enjoy the traditional storyline, but it's definitely for anyone who appreciates a unique perspective.
