Whether you’re in search of innovative cocktails, a cozy wine bar, or you're just looking for the right atmosphere, check out these romantic bars in Uptown Dallas.
Dahlia Bar & Bistro serves southern European-inspired dishes and features a botanical cocktail garden. This establishment has an intimate feel with the ambiance of your favorite romantic restaurant but with the casual feel of a neighborhood bar. When the weather is good, you can even sit out on the patio and enjoy the lush greenery and fresh air while you visit with your date.
Dahlia offers you a wide selection of signature cocktails, or you can opt for wine or beer. One of the most popular signature drinks is The Dahlia, which contains Ketel One vodka, watermelon juice, basil reduction, lemon juice, and a watermelon ball. You can't get much more refreshing than that. We also recommend the Apple of My Eye, which comes with Ketel One vodka, apple juice, blackberry liqueur, lime juice, ginger reduction, and blackberry.
Every night is date night at Dahlia. Come by on Tuesday for Half Price Bottled Wine Night, or stop by for Elijah Craig Old Fashioned and Burger Night on Thursdays. You’ll enjoy Ketel One lunch martinis on Fridays if you love a good martini.
Blackland Distillery is a full-service cocktail lounge with locally produced spirits on the menu. You can choose from vodka, gin, rye whiskey, bourbon, and Texas pecan brown sugar bourbon produced in the Fort Worth Foundry District. Blackland is home to a distillery where you can take tours and then stop by the tasting room for a craft cocktail.
Parliament is a cozy cocktail bar with dim lighting and plush seating in the heart of Uptown Dallas. It has a members-only feel, an upscale design, and an extensive cocktail list. Parliament is the perfect spot for a date night when you want to sit and relax while sipping on expertly crafted cocktails. You can enjoy indoor or outdoor seating, and happy hour lasts all day on Mondays or from 5-8 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and any time it rains.
The drink menu is divided into different types of cocktails. Choose from Champagne cocktails, clear spirits, agave, whiskey, and Old Fashioneds. Popular options include the Lucky Mule with citrus gin, lime, mint, ginger beer, and Angostura, and the Mood Stabilizer with two-pepper tequila, lime, agave, kiwi, and dry curacao.
You can find The Library at the Warwick Hotel. It has an upscale feel with a Jazz Age vibe and décor and offers an extensive list of hand-crafted cocktails along with a good selection of beer and wine. The Library has a full live music schedule, with performances by local and regional artists, such as Nashville recording artist Dalene Richards, Jeff Robbins, and Erik Barnes, who has been entertaining guests of The Library for over 20 years.
Try one of the signature drinks when you bring your date to The Library for an evening of cocktails and music. These include the Walk Down Melrose Lane, the Aviation, made with Bombay Sapphire gin, and Rosa's Margarita, made with Casamigos Anejo Tequila and will surely hit the spot. If you're hungry, the classic bar menu features several appetizers and entrees that you can share with your date.
The Bowen House has been a Dallas landmark since 1874, and it still has a vintage feel. As soon as you walk through the door, you've stepped into a different era. The crackling fire gives the bar a welcoming atmosphere, and the cocktails will keep you warm on a chilly Dallas evening. Choose from a wide selection of cocktails featuring your favorite spirits.
If you like gin, you can try the Honey, I'm Home or the Aloe Can You Go. Whiskey drinkers will enjoy the Crimson and Clover made with 12-year-old scotch, rum, rosemary-infused honey, saffron, and Peychaud's. The Highland Park highball is always a good choice, or you could try the signature Au Revoir if you prefer vodka.
Atwater Alley is a well-hidden speakeasy that sits behind Henry's Majestic. In fact, it's so well hidden that you'll only find it if you walk down the back alley. This cozy bar has an atmosphere that sits somewhere between an Old West saloon and a modern Victorian saloon. The drink menu is constantly changing, so you never know what might be on offer. However, it regularly includes the nitrous-charged Vietnamese coffee cocktail made with vanilla bourbon, almond milk, and Vietnamese blended coffee, which you will not regret ordering.
If you're an old-fashioned drinker, the bartender will expertly make a drink to suit your tastes, such as the Blood & Sands.
The Kennedy Room is a quiet spot inside the Montaigne Club in Uptown, Dallas. You won’t find the party crowd here, so you can sit and enjoy a conversation with your date while sitting on a comfortable red dimpled couch in front of a warm fireplace. John F. Kennedy inspires the décor, and there’s a portrait of him with his wife above the bar.
Take a seat at the penny-encrusted bar top or find a spot on the comfy couch and order a martini, strong whiskey sour, or French 75.
